Beer, music, art, sunshine, and good company – you can’t ask for much more on a Sunday afternoon. That’s exactly what the lucky attendees of the 2nd annual BAM Fest got. Beer and art lovers alike descended on the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica yesterday to spend the afternoon soaking up the sun with a craft beer in hand, taking in some art, and dancing to fun music. It was my first BAM Fest and I loved it. I have been to quite a few beer tasting focused events and I think it is safe to say that this was my favorite. Short lines, great beer, fun entertainment, and a good group of people pushed BAM Fest to the top of my beer tasting festival list. While I didn’t win anything from the numerous raffles, I still had a great time and could feel good about it knowing all the proceeds went to benefit 18th Street Arts Center, a Santa Monica 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Check out the photos I snapped of the good times that were had by all with these 20 breweries, 4 bands, 3 galleries, open artist studios, and gourmet food trucks. Official details of BAM Fest 2011.
